Collection Specialist – Dubai

About the role

The Collection Specialist is responsible for collecting official funds from ADIB customers, reviewing accounts and contacting customers about overdue payments in line with the bank’s service standards and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Contact debtors via phone, fax or email to resolve past‑due accounts and negotiate settlements, rescheduling or other payment arrangements.
• Document all customer interactions in the collections work system and ensure monthly targets are met.
• Handle walk‑in customers, address complaints within the defined turnaround time and provide guidance on managing their finances.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, bank policies and Central Bank regulations throughout the collection process.
• Provide regular feedback to the team leader and collection manager regarding customer interactions and collection performance.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of relevant banking experience, preferably in debt collection.
• Good knowledge of the UAE banking sector and Central Bank regulations.
• Experience using collection work systems and handling customer complaints.
• Ability to achieve call evaluation scores and meet financial targets.

Required skills

• Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Familiarity with collection processes and related administrative functions.
• Knowledge of UAE Central Bank rules and banking regulations.
• Proficiency in using banking communication channels such as phone, fax and email.
