Collection Specialist

About the role

The Collection Specialist is responsible for managing overdue customer accounts, contacting debtors, and negotiating repayment solutions while adhering to ADIB's customer service standards and confidentiality policies.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve past‑due accounts by contacting debtors via phone, fax, email or written correspondence.
• Negotiate payment settlements, rescheduling or restructuring in line with bank guidelines.
• Document all customer interactions in the collections work system and ensure monthly targets are met.
• Handle walk‑in customers, address complaints within the defined TAT and provide counselling on finance management.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, bank policies and Central Bank regulations.
• Provide regular feedback to the team leader and collection manager on customer issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of all customer information.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of relevant banking experience, preferably in collections.
• Good knowledge of the UAE banking sector and Central Bank regulations.
• Experience with collection work systems and ability to meet financial and non‑financial targets.

Required skills

• Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in using collection software and documenting activities accurately.
• Knowledge of UAE Central Bank rules and banking compliance.
