Collection Specialist

About the role

The Collection Specialist is responsible for managing the collection of official funds from ADIB customers. Working closely with the collection team leader and manager, the role involves reviewing customer accounts, communicating payment due dates, and ensuring compliance with ADIB's customer service standards and confidentiality policies.

Key responsibilities

• Contact debtors by phone, mail, or fax to resolve past‑due accounts and achieve monthly collection targets.
• Negotiate settlements, rescheduling, or restructuring of payments in line with bank guidelines.
• Document all customer interactions promptly in the collections work system.
• Handle walk‑in customers, address complaints within defined TAT, and provide guidance on managing their finances.
• Adhere to SOPs, the Collection Unit Code of Conduct, and ADIB policies at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant banking experience, preferably in debt collection.
• Strong knowledge of the UAE banking sector and Central Bank of UAE regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical abilities.
