Commercial Bid Manager – Energy Projects

About the role

The Commercial Bid Manager will support the tendering team on all commercial, financial and contractual aspects of Siemens Energy Grid Technologies Service bids, from offer preparation through to contract award. The role also leads negotiations with customers and coordinates the internal Limit of Authority (LoA) approval process for the Middle East region.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse contracts, calculate costs, develop business models and financing concepts.
• Manage currency hedging, credit risk, insurance, export‑control compliance and payment terms.
• Maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as customers, consultants and consortium partners.
• Collaborate with internal functions including Sales, Legal, Compliance, Insurance and Tax.
• Support the Bidding Manager in shaping winning strategies and evaluating customer requirements.
• Identify risks and opportunities, produce risk‑opportunity overviews and drive process improvements.
• Participate in commercial and contractual negotiations and contribute to lessons‑learned initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing commercial bids for large energy transmission projects.
• Professional qualification with a focus on finance or business.
• Strong understanding of commercial and contractual issues and associated project risks.
