Commercial Manager – Quarry & Aggregates

About the role

The quarry and aggregates producer is expanding its commercial function and needs a Commercial Manager to own and control profit‑and‑loss performance across the business. This senior role reports directly to the CEO (or GM) and operates independently of Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Approve every commercial LPO and sign‑off on all quotations and tenders before release.
• Maintain a live weekly price index for both buying and selling sides and share it with leadership.
• Manage rate contracts, vendor governance and develop a cost model per tonne.
• Conduct post‑award margin reviews to verify contracts meet bid expectations.
• Close margin leaks by aligning ordered costs with target costs and ensuring contracts earn the promised margin.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in commercial, procurement or contracts with full approval authority.
• Background in quarrying, aggregates, mining, construction materials or heavy civil projects.
• Proven experience in the UAE/GCC market and familiarity with the local supply base.
• Strong financial literacy to build and defend cost models per tonne.
• Demonstrated ability to set floor margins in bids and maintain them under pressure.
