Commercial Sales Manager

About the role

The Commercial Sales Manager will lead the commercial and financial aspects of the bid process, ensuring high‑quality sales forecasts and driving order intake and margin targets.

Key responsibilities

• Support sales managers and teams in developing winning strategies, including cost calculations, EBIT and gross‑margin estimations.
• Analyse customer requirements, evaluation criteria and competitor pricing to shape commercial offers.
• Define business models aligned with country‑specific tax structures and contract types.
• Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks such as currency exposure, payment terms, insurance and export controls.
• Prepare and deliver all required financial and commercial documentation for bids, including contract analysis and risk‑contingency assessments.
• Participate in project pricing, interfacing with technical sales and proposal teams.
• Liaise with customers throughout pre‑acquisition, negotiation and post‑sale phases.
• Support pre‑qualification processes and coordinate with internal functions (Legal, SFS, Insurance, Taxes, etc.).
• Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with customers and consortium partners.
• Act as Commercial Project Manager when needed and provide win/loss analysis for comparable projects.
