Commis 1 – Kitchen Six – All Day Dining

About the role

JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai is seeking a Commis 1 for Kitchen Six in the All Day Dining outlet. The role involves preparing and cooking dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the kitchen team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and prepare the workstation with all required mise en place before each service.
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Monitor stock levels, ensure proper food storage, and follow FIFO procedures.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, sanitation, temperature control, and labeling standards.
• Minimize food waste and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, and food quality problems promptly.
• Support menu implementation, cross‑training, and knowledge sharing with junior team members.
• Assist the Chef de Partie and assume responsibilities in their absence when required.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, grooming standards, and operational procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
