Commis 1 – Steak House – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis 1 to join the Steak House team at The Ritz‑Carlton Abu Dhabi. The role involves supporting the kitchen operations by preparing meals, maintaining quality standards, and assisting the service team in a fast‑paced, high‑end hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold dishes according to recipes, presentation and quality standards.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, broilers and roasters and monitor food safety logs.
• Thaw and portion ingredients, ensure proper garnish and arrangement of plates.
• Communicate with chefs and service staff about specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess inventory.
• Assist in daily kitchen hygiene, report maintenance issues and follow safety procedures.
• Support management with hiring, training and scheduling as needed.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school qualification.
• Minimum three years of experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
