Commis 2 – Arabic Cuisine (Hotel Kitchen)

About the role

The Commis 2 supports the Arabic cuisine kitchen at The Ritz‑Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal. You will prepare ingredients, cook and plate dishes according to established recipes and quality standards, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix ingredients for Arabic dishes.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and monitor cooking times and temperatures.
• Cook and plate food following recipes, presentation and quality checklists.
• Set‑up and break‑down work stations, serve food in proper portions, and maintain hygiene by washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, report maintenance needs and maintain professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Food preparation techniques including chopping, portioning, weighing, measuring and mixing.
