About the role
The Villa Toscana outlet at St. Regis Abu Dhabi seeks a Commis 2 to support the culinary team in delivering high‑end Italian cuisine. You will work in a luxury hotel environment, ensuring seamless service and upholding the brand’s standards of excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Review daily production sheets with the chef de partie or sous chef and ensure smooth service.
- Prepare and, when required, delegate food items according to standards, maintaining consistency and minimizing waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including fridges, freezers, countertops and stovetops.
- Operate all kitchen equipment safely and report any deficiencies promptly.
- Ensure food is handled, stored, prepared and served in line with hotel and government food safety guidelines.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Italian fine‑dining restaurant within a luxury hotel.
- Ability to run the section confidently with a sense of urgency and to train junior talent.
Required skills
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines.
- Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment safely.
