About the role
We are seeking a Commis 2 to join the Izakaya outlet at JW Marriott Dubai. The role focuses on preparing ingredients, cooking, and maintaining food quality in line with our high standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients, wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
- Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
- Monitor food temperature and quality throughout preparation.
- Set‑up and break‑down work stations, and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
- Serve food in proper portions and ensure proper storage.
- Follow all safety, security and hygiene policies and report any issues.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
- Ability to stand, walk and lift objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
- No supervisory experience required.
