Commis 2 – Kitchen Assistant (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Commis 2 will support the culinary team at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort, preparing and presenting food across the hotel’s outlets. This full‑time, on‑site position offers the chance to work in a luxury hospitality environment while developing core kitchen skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mise‑en‑place and assist in food service for all restaurant outlets.
• Follow food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality.
• Maintain clean, tidy work areas and adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Implement food safety practices, including proper storage, rotation, dating and HACCP procedures.
• Support departmental training and uphold checklists and cleaning schedules.
• Assist at banquets, events and other functions as required.
• Comply with personal hygiene, grooming, fire safety and health‑and‑safety regulations.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards (HACCP knowledge is a plus).
• Ability to follow recipes and prepare ingredients, sauces and dishes accurately.
