Commis 2 – Sunvibe Kitchen (Pool & Beach)

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira is seeking a Commis 2 to join the Sunvibe Kitchen team serving the pool and beach areas. You will work under senior chefs to prepare dishes, maintain hygiene standards and support the overall kitchen operation.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, peel and prepare ingredients for dish production.
• Prepare mise en place to the highest quality standards.
• Set up and replenish buffet stations.
• Assist with stock requisition, storage and labeling.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools and utensils before and after use.
• Report cleanliness and maintenance issues and support daily checks.
• Adhere to personal hygiene and food safety regulations.
• Support other outlets and banquet operations when required.

Required profile

• High school qualification; culinary diploma preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as Commis 1 or 2 in a high‑volume hotel or restaurant.
• Ability to work long hours and lift objects up to 15 kg.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen tools, utensils and food hygiene.
