About the role
The Ritz-Carlton Club in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Commis 3 to support food preparation and cooking operations. This entry‑level position involves handling ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, and maintaining hygiene standards in a high‑end hospitality environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, portion, chop, and store ingredients; wash and peel fresh produce.
- Measure, mix, and cook foods according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; test foods for proper doneness.
- Set up and break down work stations; serve food in correct portions and receptacles.
- Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment; monitor appliance and food temperatures.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑service experience.
Required skills
- Food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Operation of kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
