Commis 3 – Kitchen Assistant (Ginger Moon)

About the role

The Commis 3 (Ginger Moon) supports the culinary team in a busy hotel kitchen, preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining a clean work environment. This full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in a reputable hospitality brand.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients: portion, chop, weigh, and store food items.
• Wash, peel, and handle fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Measure, mix, and cook recipes to quality and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely.
• Test food for doneness and monitor quality throughout preparation.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in proper portions.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check appliance and food temperatures, follow safety and security policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related food‑preparation or kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions.
