About the role

The Commis Chef supports the senior cook in daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth food preparation and adherence to hygiene standards. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the senior cook in all sections of food production.
• Collect required food items from stores and butchery.
• Prepare mise‑en‑place according to the section head’s directions.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and sanitation according to established regulations.
• Attend training sessions and keep records of new recipes and procedures.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is clean, well‑maintained, and repaired as needed.
• Control food cost by minimizing waste while maintaining quality.
• Follow health, safety, and fire‑life safety policies and emergency procedures.
• Comply with corporate code of conduct and company values.
