Commis Chef (Level 1 & 2) – Hotel Kitchen

About the role

Join the culinary team at Novotel, a leading hotel within the Accor network, and support daily kitchen operations. As a Commis Chef (Level 1 & 2) you will work in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, mise en place and basic cooking according to standard recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen areas.
• Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene and proper food storage procedures.
• Support the kitchen team during restaurant, banquet, buffet and other service periods.
• Label, store and rotate food products using FIFO principles.
• Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
• Adhere to hotel policies, safety procedures and grooming standards.

Required profile

• 1–2 years experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.
• Culinary qualification or training preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Strong teamwork attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work under pressure.
