About the role
Join the culinary team at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa as a Commis Chef. You will support the kitchen in delivering visually stunning and delicious dishes for a luxury resort setting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and plate dishes with an emphasis on visual appeal and taste.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and manage supplies, equipment, and waste.
- Adhere to local cleanliness and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with washing up and other kitchen duties as needed.
- Perform ad‑hoc tasks to support the team.
Required profile
- Physical ability to lift, push and pull objects up to 50 lb (23 kg), including bending and kneeling.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills (reading, writing, maths).
- Flexibility to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.
- Compliance with local food‑handling and alcohol‑serving laws; must be above the minimum legal age.
- Good communication skills and fluency in the local language.
