Commis I – Al Hamra (Ras Al Khaimah)

About the role

We are looking for a Commis I to join the Al Hamra kitchen at The Ritz‑Carlton in Ras Al Khaimah. The role involves preparing special and cold meals, regulating cooking equipment, and ensuring food quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; pull items from freezer to thaw.
• Maintain food logs, monitor portion sizes, garnish, and overall food quality.
• Communicate with chefs and service staff about specials, excess items and out‑of‑stock menu items.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching.
• Follow safety, security and uniform policies; report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least 3 years of related kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
