Commis I – Asian Hot Kitchen

About the role

Join the culinary team at AccorHotel’s Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City in Dubai as a Commis I in the Asian Hot Kitchen. You will support the preparation of authentic Pan‑Asian dishes, focusing on wok‑cooked specialties in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily preparation and cooking of Pan‑Asian hot dishes, ensuring consistent quality, taste and presentation.
• Operate the wok station, preparing stir‑fries, noodles, fried rice, sauces and other Asian specialties.
• Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef by following recipes, portion standards and plating guidelines.
• Prepare mise en place and keep the hot kitchen stations organized for service.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Pan‑Asian hot kitchen or similar high‑volume hospitality setting.
• Good knowledge of Asian cooking techniques, ingredients, sauces and flavors.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and collaborate with the culinary team.

Required skills

• Wok station operation and stir‑fry preparation.
• Asian noodle and fried‑rice cooking.
• Food safety, hygiene and proper storage practices.
