Commis I – Food & Beverage Role in Dubai

About the role

The Commis I supports the culinary team at Four Points by Sheraton on Sheikh Zayed Road, ensuring that all food preparation meets the hotel’s quality and presentation standards. This full‑time position involves both hot and cold food preparation, inventory management, and collaboration with service staff to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Pull items from freezer storage, thaw them safely in the refrigerator, and maintain accurate food logs.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement and garnish of dishes, and communicate menu specials or out‑of‑stock items to service staff.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching, while adhering to safety, security and uniform policies.
• Report maintenance needs, accidents or unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school qualification.
• At least three years of relevant culinary experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification needed.
