Commis I – Kitchen Assistant (Luxury Hospitality)

About the role

The First Group Hospitality is seeking a Commis I to join the culinary team at its luxury hotel in Abu Dhabi. The role involves supporting food preparation, cooking and presentation to the highest standards of quality, consistency and hygiene within an exclusive destination.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items following approved recipes, presentation standards and portion controls.
• Complete mise en place and ensure the assigned kitchen section is ready before service.
• Assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef with daily food production for regular service, private functions and special requests.
• Check quality, freshness and condition of ingredients and follow proper storage, labeling and stock‑rotation procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, sanitize equipment and report any defects.
• Support and guide junior kitchen colleagues, including Commis II and Kitchen Assistants, when required.
• Adhere to all food‑safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations.
