Commis II Bakery

About the role

Join the culinary team at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa as a Commis II – Bakery. You will support the bakery operations, preparing a variety of breads, pastries and other baked products in a luxury resort setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the bakery team in preparing and producing breads, rolls, pastries and other baked items according to recipes and standards.
• Support daily bakery operations including mixing, kneading, shaping, proofing and baking.
• Prepare and organise mise‑en‑place to ensure smooth and timely production.
• Maintain consistent quality, taste, texture and presentation of all bakery products.
• Ensure proper storage, labelling and rotation of ingredients and finished products using FIFO.
• Monitor cleanliness and proper use of bakery equipment, refrigerators, freezers and workstations.

Required profile

• Diploma or vocational certificate in Culinary Arts, Bakery or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in a professional bakery, preferably in a hotel or high‑volume kitchen.
• Basic knowledge of bread‑making techniques, dough preparation, proofing and baking processes.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions from senior chefs and work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
