About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Commis II – Butcher to join the culinary team at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort in Ras Al‑Khaimah. The successful candidate will work in a fast‑paced environment, preparing high‑quality meat products while upholding the resort’s strict food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and portion meat using proper butchering techniques and industry‑standard tools.
• Execute precise cuts according to specifications and customer requirements.
• Maintain strict food‑safety and hygiene protocols in line with UAE regulations.
• Organise and keep the butchery station clean, sanitized and properly stocked.
• Monitor meat quality and freshness, reporting any issues to supervisors.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and signalling replenishment needs.
• Support senior butchers and chefs in daily food‑preparation tasks.
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in a butchery, meat‑preparation or food‑service role.
• Strong knowledge of meat cuts, grades and butchering techniques.
• Food‑safety and hygiene certification, or willingness to obtain one.
• Physical stamina to work standing for extended periods.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality.
