Commis II – Kitchen Assistant in Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a Commis II to support kitchen operations at Sheraton The Walk Dubai. The role involves preparing ingredients, cooking, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, weighing, measuring and mixing.
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
• Test and monitor food quality and temperature throughout preparation.
• Set up and break down work stations and serve food in proper portions.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment.
• Follow company safety, security and hygiene policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related kitchen or food preparation experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Food preparation techniques including portioning, chopping, measuring and mixing.
• Food safety practices and temperature monitoring.
