About the role
The Commis II supports the culinary team by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment at Autograph Collection in Dubai.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
- Cook and assemble dishes, operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test food for doneness.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene by cleaning workstations, tools, knives and equipment, and ensuring proper temperature control.
- Set up and break down stations, serve food in correct portions, and monitor food quality throughout preparation.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
Required skills
- Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
- Food preparation, portioning and basic cooking techniques.
