Commis II – Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Commis II supports kitchen operations at Four Seasons Dubai by preparing and handling food items, ensuring proper storage, and assisting with cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Date all food containers and rotate them according to policies, keeping perishables at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for each shift, determine necessary preparation, perform freezer pulls and line set‑up, and note any out‑of‑stock items.
• Return unused food items to designated storage areas, covering and dating all perishables.
• Assist in planning actions to correct food cost issues.
• Control food waste, loss and usage in line with company policies.
• Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set out in EmPact.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of culinary or related work experience.
• Education from a cooking school or culinary institute, or equivalent experience.
• Strong time‑management and efficiency.
• Commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
