About the role

The Commis III (Hot/Cold) supports the culinary team at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Sharjah by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. This full‑time, on‑site position is ideal for candidates with at least one year of kitchen experience who are eager to develop their culinary skills in a reputable hotel setting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, including chopping, weighing, and storing food.
• Wash, peel, and ready fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Cook hot and cold dishes according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely.
• Test food for doneness and monitor quality throughout preparation.
• Set up and break down workstations, ensuring proper sanitation of tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check appliance and food temperatures to maintain safety standards.
• Follow company safety, security, and hygiene policies and report any issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months of relevant kitchen experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
