Commissioning Manager – Offshore Projects

About the role

The Commissioning Manager will lead the planning, coordination and execution of all commissioning, start‑up and handover activities for a major offshore project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures safe, efficient transition of facilities from construction completion through to operational readiness for ADNOC Offshore Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Commissioning Execution Plans aligned with ADNOC standards and project milestones.
• Lead multidisciplinary commissioning teams, vendors and specialist contractors.
• Manage system completion, mechanical completion, punch‑listing and progressive handover to operations.
• Supervise pre‑commissioning activities such as flushing, cleaning, leak testing and functional testing.
• Oversee start‑up, energisation, performance testing and asset acceptance.
• Coordinate HSE compliance, risk assessments, PTW processes and high‑risk activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Chemical, Process, Marine or related engineering discipline.
• 15‑20 years of oil & gas experience, including at least 10 years in commissioning management on major offshore EPC/EPCI projects.
• Proven experience with greenfield offshore platforms, gas processing, compression and utilities.
• Previous work on ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy, Shell, BP, TotalEnergies or similar operators is preferred.
