Commissioning Superintendent – Electrical

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Commissioning Superintendent Electrical to join its on‑shore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on overseeing electrical commissioning activities for large‑scale oil, gas and petrochemical facilities, ensuring compliance with licensor and vendor procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with licensor and vendor teams to monitor commissioning activities and ensure adherence to prescribed procedures.
• Drive progress of commissioning for sales gas and condensate areas, reviewing pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures.
• Provide technical advice and support to the Senior Commissioning Manager, reviewing commissioning manuals issued by EPC contractors or vendors.
• Verify mechanical completion certificates and readiness of systems/sub‑systems for MC and RFSU certificate issuance.
• Participate in commissioning and troubleshooting meetings, resolve obstacles, and approve punch‑list close‑outs.
• Ensure hand‑over methodology complies with contractual documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 18 years of relevant commissioning/operation‑readiness experience, preferably in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in a similar senior role on oil & gas or petrochemical projects, with exposure to sour‑gas, hydrogen production or hydro‑desulfurisation facilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pre‑commissioning procedures and mechanical completion verification.
