Commissioning Superintendent (Oil & Gas)

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Commissioning Superintendent to lead commissioning activities on a large‑scale NGL and gas processing project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing the successful start‑up of plant systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and delivering the project on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all process and mechanical commissioning activities for NGL/gas processing facilities.
• Manage commissioning teams, subcontractors and interface with EPC contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Develop and execute commissioning procedures, test plans and safety protocols.
• Monitor progress against schedule, budget and quality targets, reporting status to senior management.
• Ensure all commissioning work complies with project specifications, regulatory requirements and KBR standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years of oil & gas experience in process or mechanical commissioning.
• Proven experience on mega FEED/EPC projects valued over US$1 billion.
• Hands‑on experience with NGL and gas processing plant projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
