Communications Manager – Surgery (EMEA)

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Communications Manager for the Surgery Business Unit across the EMEA region. The role will support growth priorities, innovation milestones and reputation building by delivering integrated communications across external, media, internal and digital channels.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the EMEA communications strategy for the Surgery BU, aligning with business growth priorities and key milestones.
• Partner with business leaders to translate priorities into clear, compelling campaigns across media, executive, internal and digital platforms.
• Own channel management, including home page content, distribution lists and newsletter development.
• Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Government Affairs and global Media Relations to secure approvals and alignment.
• Manage relationships with local agencies and freelancers to maximise campaign impact.
• Leverage data, insights and global reports to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
• Operate effectively in a matrixed environment, building strong relationships with leaders, marketing teams and content sources.
• Contribute to an inclusive team culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Early‑career communicator with a strong interest in healthcare or medical‑device communications.
• Ability to work in a matrixed, multi‑regional environment.
