Compliance and Financial Crime Manager – Payments

About the role

Capitex, a fast‑growing fintech operating in the global payments space, is looking for a Compliance and Financial Crime Manager to support its expanding international operations. The role will be hands‑on, working closely with senior compliance leadership to ensure AML/CFT obligations are met across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct customer onboarding, periodic reviews and enhanced due diligence in line with internal AML/KYC standards.
• Monitor alerts from transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, PEPs and adverse media, escalating cases as required.
• Coordinate and draft responses to information requests from partners, financial institutions and regulators.
• Prepare and submit AML/CFT reports, SAR/STR filings and other regulatory submissions.
• Support internal and external suspicious activity reporting and assist with fraud investigations.
• Maintain and enhance internal compliance policies, procedures and workflows, and produce compliance metrics for management.
• Deliver AML and compliance training to staff and partner with commercial teams on new business opportunities.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in compliance, AML or financial crime within fintech, payments or financial services.
• Strong understanding of AML/CFT frameworks, KYC processes and regulatory expectations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast‑moving international environment.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with transaction monitoring tools.
• Experience with sanctions screening and PEP/adverse media checks.
• Knowledge of SAR/STR reporting procedures.
