Compliance Manager - Sanctions

About the role

The Senior Manager, Trade Sanctions Compliance is responsible for the bank’s trade sanctions risk posture, providing expert guidance and senior stakeholder management across the sanctions function. The role serves as the principal escalation point for complex sanctions matters and shapes the control framework for trade and correspondent banking exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Hold overall responsibility for the bank’s trade sanctions risk posture and act as the primary escalation point for high‑complexity sanctions issues.
• Design and maintain the group’s control framework for trade and correspondent banking exposure.
• Represent the sanctions department in regulatory, audit, and executive‑level forums.
• Support the Head of Sanctions & FI Compliance and senior management in meeting regulatory obligations through policy implementation.
• Collate potential breaches across the bank and ensure consistent application of global sanctions standards, policies, and procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior stakeholder management and people leadership within a compliance or regulatory environment.
• Ability to operate autonomously with sound commercial judgment and influence senior business and control‑function stakeholders.
