Compliance Officer – Banking (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Compliance Officer to join our banking team in Dubai. You will support the Compliance Manager in safeguarding the bank against regulatory and financial security risks while fostering a strong compliance culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the bank’s compliance control framework, including policies, procedures, systems, and controls.
• Monitor regulatory developments, participate in global projects and innovation initiatives.
• Issue compliance and financial security opinions on counterparties, transactions, and new products.
• Investigate alerts, make disposition decisions, and perform effectiveness controls.
• Provide guidance to operational and middle‑office staff on first‑level transaction and KYC controls.
• Collaborate with internal departments to anticipate and address compliance issues.
• Contribute to staff training on compliance topics.
• Support regulatory reporting, correspondence, and committee organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree minimum.
• 2‑5 years of experience in wholesale, corporate or private banking within a major international bank.
• At least 2 years in an independent compliance function, preferably with Middle‑East exposure.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
