Compliance Officer & MLRO (Wealth Management)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer and Money‑Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to strengthen our compliance function in Dubai. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to DIFC/ADGM regulations and fostering a culture of regulatory integrity across our wealth‑management activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, review and update compliance policies, procedures and internal controls to meet legislative and regulatory standards.
• Oversee client and business‑partner onboarding, conduct‑of‑business monitoring, compliance training and regulatory reporting.
• Conduct due‑diligence and ongoing AML reviews for new and existing clients and partners.
• Serve as primary liaison with regulators on AML/CFT, sanctions and related matters, managing communications and meetings.
• Monitor and enhance systems to identify and mitigate AML risks, providing pragmatic solutions.
• Prepare compliance reports for senior management, auditors and external regulators.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes, perform gap analysis and implement necessary adaptations.
• Review marketing materials for regulatory compliance and support operational risk management.
• Coordinate compliance activities across entities in multiple jurisdictions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience, including at least 2 years in a compliance/AML role within wealth management or investments.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
• Professional certification such as CISI or ACAMS.
• Experience with DIFC or ADGM regulatory frameworks (Category 3C or 4) is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, sanctions, conduct‑of‑business rules, FATCA/CRS and data‑protection regulations.
