Compliance Officer & Money Laundering Reporting Officer (COMLRO)

About the role

As the Compliance Officer & Money Laundering Reporting Officer (COMLRO) at Thndr, you will ensure the firm meets all regulatory and financial‑crime compliance obligations in the UAE. You will act as the primary liaison with regulators and work closely with the Board and SEO to manage regulatory risk.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update compliance policies, procedures and a risk‑based compliance programme.
• Conduct trade surveillance, transaction monitoring and oversee AML, KYC and CDD processes.
• Provide regulatory guidance to staff, the SEO and the Board and prepare compliance reports for the Board.
• File Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and act as the main point of contact for regulators.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of compliance experience within a regulated industry, preferably with FSRA or DFSA exposure.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks and an established rapport with FSRA or DFSA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law or a related field; FSRA/DFSA‑approved person preferred.
