Compliance Officer & Money Laundering Reporting Officer

About the role

The firm, an ADGM‑regulated financial services provider, seeks an experienced Compliance Officer / Money Laundering Reporting Officer to lead its regulatory compliance and AML/CFT framework in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Compliance and AML/CFT functions in line with ADGM and FSRA rules.
• Maintain, review and enhance policies, procedures, risk assessments and internal controls.
• Develop and execute the annual Compliance Monitoring Programme, documenting and remediating issues.
• Oversee client onboarding, KYC, CDD/EDD, sanctions screening, PEP identification and ongoing monitoring.
• Manage transaction‑monitoring, suspicious activity investigation and reporting.
• Provide regulatory advice to senior management on new products, initiatives and regulatory changes.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections, thematic reviews and remediation of findings.
• Prepare regular Compliance and MLRO reports for senior management and the Board.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of compliance experience within an ADGM/FSRA or DIFC/DFSA regulated firm.
• Experience in broker‑dealer, investment or securities environments.
• Hands‑on experience dealing with FSRA/DFSA, including submissions and inspections.
• Relevant university degree and ICA or ACAMS certification.
• Ability to meet FSRA fit‑and‑proper requirements for the CO/MLRO role.
