About the role
The Compliance Officer & MLRO will ensure Thndr meets all regulatory and financial crime compliance obligations in the UAE. Reporting directly to senior leadership and the board, the role combines policy development, risk management, and regulatory liaison.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures aligned with UAE regulations.
- Implement a risk‑based compliance program, including trade surveillance and transaction monitoring.
- Provide regulatory guidance to staff, the SEO, and the Board, and prepare compliance reports for the Board.
- Maintain AML policies, oversee KYC and CDD processes, and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
- Deliver AML training and act as the primary contact for regulators such as FSRA or DFSA.
Required profile
- 4‑6 years of compliance experience within a regulated industry.
- Established rapport with FSRA or DFSA and strong knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field.
Required skills
- SQL for compliance data analysis.
- Expertise in AML, KYC, CDD, and SAR filing processes.
