Compliance Policy Governance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Policy & Governance Manager to lead the development, review and implementation of compliance policies within a CBUAE‑regulated financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, draft, review and maintain compliance policies, procedures and frameworks, ensuring alignment with CBUAE and other regulations.
• Monitor regulatory changes, conduct impact and gap assessments, and coordinate timely implementation of required updates.
• Design and support implementation of controls arising from policies, assess effectiveness, and address any control gaps.
• Maintain and enhance the Compliance Governance Framework, overseeing ownership, approval, communication and periodic review of policies.
• Create and deliver training and awareness programmes on new or updated policies, communicating changes to relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• 7‑12+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs or policy within banking, fintech or other regulated financial institutions.
• Strong hands‑on experience drafting and developing compliance policies and translating regulatory requirements into practical controls.
• Proven ability to manage regulatory change, conduct impact assessments and close compliance gaps.
• Deep understanding of compliance governance frameworks and control effectiveness reviews.
• Preferable experience with CBUAE regulations, circulars and standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with compliance, risk, legal and business teams.
