Computer User Support Specialist (Remote)

About the role

The Computer User Support Specialist provides remote technical assistance to keep users productive. You will troubleshoot hardware, software and system issues, document solutions and guide users through basic technology tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver remote technical support for computer‑related problems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and system issues.
• Assist users with account access, applications and technical questions.
• Accurately document support requests and resolutions.
• Escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Install, configure and maintain software applications.
• Provide guidance on basic technology usage.
• Monitor support tickets and follow up on open issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge resources.
• Support continuous improvement of user support processes.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good understanding of computer systems and software applications.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking capability.
• Comfortable working remotely with a reliable internet connection.
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Degree, certification or training in IT, Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in technical support, help desk or IT assistance (beneficial).
• Familiarity with operating systems, software applications and troubleshooting tools (advantage).
