Configuration and Data Management Specialist

About the role

EDGE is seeking an experienced Configuration and Data Management (CADM) Specialist to lead CADM processes across complex space and defence programmes. The role ensures consistency, compliance and traceability of configuration items and program data throughout the system lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and maintain configuration management plans aligned with ECSS and AS9100 standards, controlling hardware, software, documentation and operational systems.
• Lead change control activities, chair Configuration Control Boards, manage Engineering Change Requests and maintain configuration baselines.
• Oversee the technical data lifecycle, including document control, versioning, metadata tagging and secure access governance.
• Ensure compliance with contractual data delivery requirements and manage structured data repositories and digital archives.
• Support internal and external audits, collaborate with quality teams to resolve non‑conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Interface with suppliers, subcontractors and international partners to align on configuration and data practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Management, Aerospace or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in configuration and data management within aerospace or defence programmes.
• Eligibility for national security or NATO‑level clearance.
• Strong organizational, documentation and audit‑readiness skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with PLM/CM tools such as Eclipse, Windchill or equivalents.
• Knowledge of ECSS, ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO 27001 standards.
• Familiarity with configuration baselines, product structures, change control and versioning systems.
