Construction Director

About the role

The Construction Director will lead the delivery of infrastructure activities for a major project in Abu Dhabi, overseeing the Contractor, specialist subcontractors, and the Construction Supervision Consultant. The role ensures that works are inspected, signed off, and any issues are resolved promptly to achieve project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor infrastructure works throughout construction.
• Oversee performance of the Supervision Consultant and Contractor.
• Validate progress reports against actual infrastructure activity.
• Manage technical submittals, approvals, and RFI processes.
• Identify sequencing and progress improvements for all parties.
• Supervise inspection processes and drive quality enhancements.
• Track QHSE performance and address deviations.
• Coordinate relationships with local authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 20 years of experience in infrastructure construction.
• At least 5 years of experience dealing with Abu Dhabi authorities.
• Proven track record as a Construction Manager on large‑scale MEP projects.
• Experience managing full project life‑cycles within a Project Management team.
