Construction HSE Engineer (Ruwais, Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The Construction HSE Engineer will be based on the Hail and Gasha project in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the HSM or Site Manager, you will ensure that all field activities comply with the TCM HSE policy, local regulations and industry standards, driving preventive and corrective actions throughout the construction phase.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
• Verify and update the site HSE plan, procedures and related documentation.
• Monitor subcontractors to ensure adherence to HSE procedures, regulations and standards.
• Organise and lead regular HSE walk‑arounds, inspections and audits; prepare reports, action plans and follow‑up on corrective actions.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver HSE training sessions on site.
• Facilitate HSE meetings, record minutes of meetings and manage work permits with the client.
• Investigate accidents, maintain records and develop preventive measures.
• Lead the off‑site HSE committee comprising contractor and subcontractor representatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in construction HSE roles.
• Proven ability to work on a rotation schedule (60 days on‑site, 10 days off, 2 travel days).
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction safety regulations and TCM HSE policies.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with site personnel, subcontractors and client representatives.
