Construction Manager – Civil (Large‑Scale Projects)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Civil Construction Manager to lead the execution of large‑scale building and villa projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing site operations from mobilization through handover, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all site construction activities from mobilization to project completion and handover.
• Oversee execution of large‑scale building and villa projects in line with approved drawings, specifications and programme.
• Coordinate site teams including Construction Managers, Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen and subcontractors.
• Plan and monitor daily and weekly construction progress, identifying and correcting potential delays.
• Collaborate closely with Project Management, Engineering, Planning, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement and Commercial teams.
• Ensure effective coordination between civil, structural, MEP, architectural and finishing works.
• Review construction methodologies, method statements and site execution plans.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, manpower and resources.
• Conduct regular site inspections and coordination meetings to resolve technical issues.
• Interface with consultants and client representatives for progress updates, inspections and approvals.
• Prepare progress reports and highlight critical issues to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of overall construction experience.
• At least 4–5 years in a Construction Manager role within a main‑contracting company.
• Proven experience delivering large‑scale and complex building projects, especially villas and residential developments.
• Experience with high‑rise buildings, hotels, apartments or mixed‑use projects is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of civil and structural construction activities and relevant authority requirements.
