Construction Manager – Civil & Underground Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and oversee all civil and underground infrastructure construction activities for a major oil & gas top‑side facilities installation on an artificial island. The role is responsible for managing execution, safety, quality, schedule and coordination of complex land‑based works.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all onsite construction activities related to civil and underground infrastructure works.
• Manage execution in line with project schedules, specifications, drawings and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate daily activities of contractors, subcontractors, consultants and site supervision teams.
• Oversee piling, deep foundations, excavation, trenching, underground utility installation and related infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, review method statements and inspection test plans, and support QA/QC inspections.
• Promote a strong HSE culture, participate in risk assessments and enforce safety procedures.
• Monitor productivity, prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 20 + years of experience, including 12–15 years in large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing civil and underground utility works on major developments.
• Strong knowledge of underground utility systems, foundation works and heavy civil construction methodologies.
• Experience in the Middle East/GCC region is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, coordination and stakeholder‑management abilities.
