Construction Manager - Electrical (PV)

About the role

The Construction Manager – Electrical (PV) leads all on‑site construction activities for utility‑scale solar photovoltaic power plants, from groundbreaking through mechanical completion and commissioning. The role ensures that civil works, structural racking, tracker systems, PV modules, DC/AC cabling, inverters and substation infrastructure are delivered on time, within budget and in full compliance with engineering drawings, safety standards and local utility regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily on‑site construction activities covering civil works (grading, access roads, piling), mechanical assembly (trackers, structures, module mounting) and electrical works (DC combiners, AC collection systems, inverter stations).
• Manage site layout, material staging areas and logistics for millions of fragile components.
• Resolve technical field issues, RFIs and design discrepancies promptly to avoid delays.
• Oversee pile load testing and torque validation programs for tracker mechanisms.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports with S‑curves, workforce histograms and look‑ahead plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 12 years of direct experience managing utility‑scale solar PV developments.
• Construction management certification (e.g., PMP, CCM) highly desirable.
