Construction Manager – Shutdown Projects

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager with a proven track record in overseeing and coordinating all on‑site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards for a high‑profile client.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for construction and contractor‑related deliverables across large‑scale shutdown projects.
• Supervise all areas on small projects or specific disciplines on larger projects.
• Manage and control project cost and schedule for assigned disciplines.
• Oversee installation, commissioning and completion activities of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate field personnel work schedules to maximize utilization and meet deadlines.
• Ensure safety, quality and environmental processes are defined, communicated and executed on site.
• Lead toolbox meetings, inspections and risk assessments in line with Wood and client requirements.
• Coordinate supply, delivery of equipment, subcontractors and consumables according to contract specifications.

Required profile

• Degree with a minimum of 20 years Oil & Gas industry experience, including at least 5 years on major capital projects (> USD 500 M) with a focus on Construction and Site Management.
• Experience within an Oil & Gas operating company is highly desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel extensively for multi‑week periods and flexibility to adjust work location.
• Qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa.
