Construction Project Manager

About the role

A growing construction company in Dubai is expanding its project portfolio and is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of upcoming developments. The role suits someone who can take full ownership of construction projects from planning through to handover, managing timelines, budgets, site execution, subcontractors, consultants and client expectations. It is a critical position for someone who understands the UAE construction market and can keep projects moving with control, accountability and commercial awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of construction projects from mobilization to completion and handover.
• Manage project timelines, resources, site activities and progress against approved schedules.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Monitor budgets, costs, procurement schedules and variation requests.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, quality standards, safety requirements and contractual obligations.
• Identify risks, delays and operational challenges and implement corrective actions.
• Hold regular project meetings and report progress to senior management and stakeholders.
• Oversee authority coordination, inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover.
• Maintain project documentation, reporting and compliance records.
• Support the commercial team on claims, change orders and cost matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 7-12 years of experience in the construction industry, including at least 3-5 years as a Project Manager.
• Proven main contractor experience delivering building construction projects in the UAE or GCC market.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, construction execution, subcontractor management, cost control and stakeholder coordination.
• Good understanding of contracts, variations, claims and commercial project management.
• Familiarity with UAE authority requirements, site safety standards and project compliance.
• PMP certification preferred; Primavera, NEBOSH or IOSH certifications an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project, AutoCAD, MS Excel and project reporting tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
