Construction Section Head - Civil

About the role

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a Construction Section Head - Civil to join a top‑qualified and knowledgeable construction team within our Oil, Gas and Chemicals Division. This role will lead all civil construction activities on complex EPC projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all civil construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Procurement, Commissioning and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure timely availability of manpower, materials, equipment and other resources, and resolve construction issues to maintain progress.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, work procedures and execution plans before construction starts.
• Monitor construction progress against the approved schedule, implement corrective actions and supervise subcontractors to meet quality, productivity, safety and schedule targets.
• Maintain strict safety compliance, including effective implementation of the Permit‑to‑Work system in live plant environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in oil & gas or EPC construction projects, with at least 5 years in a senior supervisory or Section Head role.
• Proven experience on ADNOC or major GCC oil & gas projects, including knowledge of ADNOC standards, international codes and HSE regulations.
• Strong leadership, coordination and problem‑solving abilities, with experience managing large site teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast‑track project environments.
